Championing equity and justice for D.C. by D.C.
We build better justice, together. Learn about CCE’s mission, our approach, and the values that guide our work.
Our Mission
Council for Court Excellence's (CCE's) mission is to enhance the justice system in the District of Columbia to serve the public equitably.
Our Approach
CCE identifies and proposes solutions by collaborating with a diverse group of partners and advisors to conduct research, advance policy, educate the public, and increase civic engagement.
Our Beliefs
We believe that when our justice system improves, D.C. improves. When our laws and systems are more equitable, D.C. is more equitable.
We believe that the most innovative and effective solutions are typically created with those most affected by the legal system.
We believe in collaboration, transparency, and community-rooted and evidence-based solutions.
