Microsoft hosts the first Community Building Breakfast
On Friday, November 2, the Council for Court Excellence partnered with the Alliance of Concerned Men to host a gathering of friends around the issue of employment for reentering neighbors in DC. The event raised almost $2,000, which will be shared equally between CCE and the Alliance of Concerned Men.
Christine Davies, Business Development Manager for Microsoft's Policy and Innovation Center, hosted the breakfast. More than 30 friends from across the community gathered together to support both CCE and the Alliance as they work together on this community issue.

CCE Releases "Is D.C. More Secure? A Criminal Legal System Overview"
On September 23, 2024, CCE released "Is D.C. More Secure? A Criminal Legal System Overview", which provides up-to-date data on many key aspects of D.C.’s criminal legal system. The report gives particular focus to parts of the legal system that may be impacted in the months and years ahead by provisions of the SECURE D.C. legislation passed in early 2024.
