Eight judges have joined us in classrooms across DC to lead mock trial and jury deliberations.

Our program prepares DC students to fulfill their civic obligation to serve on a jury when they turn 18.

To date, we have presented nine programs, as follows:

  • November 14, 2011 - School Without Walls (Jay Brozost and Earl Silbert)
  • December 6, 2011 - Cesar Chavez Public Charter School (Judge Mary Ellen Abrecht)
  • December 9, 2011 - Woodrow Wilson High School (Judge Curtis von Kann)
  • December 16, 2011 - Woodrow Wilson High School (Judge Arthur Burnett)
  • January 9, 2012 - School Without Walls (Judge Gregory Mize)
  • January 10, 2012 - Ballou High School (Judge Neal Kravitz)
  • January 11, 2012 - Ballou High School (Judge Karen Howze)
  • January 12, 2012 - Spingarn High School (Judge Noel Kramer)
  • January 13, 2012 - Bell Multicultural High School (Judge Richard Roberts)

Expect more civics lessons in the spring semester, and even more to come in the 2012-2013 school year!
