CCE Announces The McCammon Group as Newest Board Leader

Judges King and Zeldon will represent the dispute resolution company on nonprofit Board


WASHINGTON, DC, June 18, 2012

The Council for Court Excellence (CCE) today announced that The McCammon Group has joined the Board of Directors for this nonprofit organization.

“CCE is led by individuals and organizations who share our mission to improve justice in the District of Columbia,” said Executive Director June Kress. “Private dispute resolution providers help parties find solutions. In so doing, they free up court resources to focus on the critical mission of giving timely access to justice for all citizens. We are delighted to welcome The McCammon Group to our leadership.”

The McCammon Group provides alternative dispute resolution services (ADR), as well as related facilitation, training and consulting services. It consists of seventy-five Neutrals including retired judges and practicing attorneys located throughout the Washington Metropolitan Region.

“The McCammon Group is pleased to join the Council’s exemplary history of service to the District,” the company said in its official press release.

Judge Rufus G. King, III and Judge Joan Zeldon will represent The McCammon Group on CCE’s Board. Judge King is a former Chief Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Judge Zeldon is the former Presiding Judge of the Civil Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

New Directors of the CCE Board were elected at the organization’s semi-annual meeting in early June. In addition to The McCammon Group, new Directors include:

  • DC Association of Charted Public Schools, represented by Dr. Ramona H. Edelin
  • Microsoft, Inc., represented by Christine Davies and Timothy Galante
  • National Children’s Center Inc., represented by Scott R. Filer
  • Coburn & Greenbaum, PLLC, represented by Barry Coburn
  • Fox Rothschild LLP, represented by Steven M. Schneebaum
  • Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, represented by Edward J. Longosz, II and Charles A. Zdebski
  • MoloLamken LLP, represented by Justin V. Shur
  • Paula Thompson Felder
  • JoAnne Ginsberg
  • A. Stephen Hut, Jr.
