Remebering Roger M. Adelman
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Roger M. Adelman. Roger was a great friend of CCE and the recipient of the 2015 Justice Potter Stewart Award. A true legend of the law, Mr. Adelman has left behind a legacy as a prosecutor, teacher, and mentor.
There will be a memorial service for Roger on Tuesday, October 13 at 4:00 p.m., in the Ceremonial Courtroom at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The Washington Post and The New York Times have published articles about Roger.

CCE Releases "Is D.C. More Secure? A Criminal Legal System Overview"
On September 23, 2024, CCE released "Is D.C. More Secure? A Criminal Legal System Overview", which provides up-to-date data on many key aspects of D.C.’s criminal legal system. The report gives particular focus to parts of the legal system that may be impacted in the months and years ahead by provisions of the SECURE D.C. legislation passed in early 2024.
