New Publication! A Victim's Guide to the DC Criminal Justice System

The Council for Court Excellence announces the release of A Victim’s Guide to the D.C. Criminal Justice System. This fully updated resource provides clear step-by-step guidance to help victims of crime and witnesses to crime navigate the process and access all available services.

This is the 4th edition of the free booklet, which first appeared in 1988, and the first update since 2002. The guide is also available in a Spanish version published in 2006.

CCE will provide bulk supplies of the printed booklet to all DC Public Library branches and to any organization or group that requests them. Individuals can request a copy from CCE or download the publication from our Digital Library.

CCE is grateful to the DC Superior Court, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and the Public Defender Service for their help in updating the booklet’s content.
