Volunteers Needed! Participate in our School Jury Program in January

For over 25 years, CCE has facilitated a unique and powerful program where judges and lawyers can connect with youth across the city as part of our School Jury Education Program. This program, now conducted in partnership with Street Law at Georgetown Law, offers students insights on the importance of civic engagement, practical deliberation skill-building, and opportunities to find mentors and establish long-term relationships.

The next SJEP classes will take place from Tuesday, January 7th to Thursday, January 16 and volunteers are needed! Class sessions are 65-90 minutes. Minimal advance preparation is required, and volunteers will be provided a detailed lesson plan. Street Law and CCE will coordinate with schools to arrange each visit's logistics and staff will be available to answer questions prior to and onsite on the day of the visit.
