“The vast majority of people coming back to the District from prison are coming back to East of the River. This is where they come from, where they are living, and where they come back to,” says CCE Executive Director June Kress in an upcoming video about reentry in DC, entitled Inside Outside.

This video by Gabriela Bulisova will be part of an upcoming multimedia gallery exhibition at the Gallery at Vivid Solutions, 2208 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, SE, Washington, DC, starting on July 13. An opening reception with Ms. Bulisova is open to the public on Friday, July 13, from 6:00-8:00 pm.

The exhibition will include photographs and videos featuring first-person accounts of previously incarcerated men and women. CCE Board Director Tyrone Parker is also featured in the video Inside Outside.

Ms. Bulisova is a DC-based documentary photographer and multimedia artist. Some of Ms. Bulisova’s photographs of previously incarcerated women are featured in CCE’s reentry report, Unlocking Employment Opportunity. The video also includes statistics from the CCE reentry report.
